Natural ventilation is another essential element of tropical construction. It allows fresh air to circulate within the building, reducing reliance on air conditioning systems. Designs featuring high ceilings, large windows, and cross-ventilation enable the free flow of air and help combat the stifling heat. Additionally, incorporating shading devices such as overhangs, louvers, and screens can filter sunlight and prevent direct heat penetration into the interior spaces.
